THINGS ARE CLOSER THAN THEY APPEAR (speaking of branding and website design that is).

You. You and your brand and website design are things.
IT'S ALL JUST PERSPECTIVE.
If you are wanting to (read that ‘needing to’) launch a website for your business, but overwhelmed about all the “things” that you need to do to make it happen, well my friend, you are so much further ahead than you think.
After years of helping people design, build and launch their dream websites I have learned a few tips and tricks that are oh so super handy. And guess what?
I'm going to share some of them with you. Right here. Right now.
Kellie's top 5 tricks to making branding and website design easier...
Branding. Color theory is real. It's an art and a science. It takes time and dedication to find the exact perfect colors for your brand. However, if you aren't sure what colors you should use and you are stalling the launch of your branding and website design because you don't have time for the deep dive into the emotions of color, the best way to start is to choose what YOU love. And an easy way to figure that out is this little trick…Walk into your closet and squint your eyes. Look around at your clothes. What is the most prominent color you see? That is your primary brand color. Is there another color that pops out occasionally? That is your secondary brand color. We wear what we feel good in. Your brand colors are the same thing - a beautiful wrapper that your business feels good in. (Color theory can come later).
Platform. Don't know how to code? No problem. There are many fantastic website platforms out there designed for the non-developer. They are user friendly, powerful and dare I say it—fun to use. I can help you choose the platform that is right for you based on your business needs, your skills and your personality.
Domain. This sounds a little “techy” and scary to some. But it's not. Choosing the right domain (or URL) for your website is actually one of my most favorite things to do. Brainstorming names and ideas is fun and super easy. GoDaddy.com allows you to easily search what's available and helps serve up other ideas. (I am not an affiliate for GoDaddy - just a fan). Pro-tip: Start with your name.
Head Shot. This is a stressful one for most. The thought of finding a photographer, hiring said photographer, choosing the right outfit(s), losing the 10 pounds…it's all too much. But here's the trick—all you need is 1 Gen Z and 1 phone. That's right. Every Gen Z I know (and I know A LOT of them) are absolutely brilliant at capturing the perfect pose in any situation that flatters every body. And…they LOVE doing it! Boom, Bam - beautiful temporary headshots done in 5 seconds flat. Once you are ready - I HIGHLY recommend using a professional…like my friend Andrea. (Also not an affiliate, just a raving fan.)
Bio. This one gets me all the time. It's so hard to write about yourself (or your business). And trying to be pithy and clever about everything you/your business has to offer, well forget about it. That ish takes time. Time you don't have. So one of my favorite hacks to keep me moving forward is to pull the details from my LinkedIn page. That's it. That's all you need to get started. It doesn't have to be perfect. You can massage your About story down the road. All you need is the Who, What, When and Why so people can start getting to know you/your business.
BONUS—Content: Ah, the king of stops, the queen of “I just can'ts”, the master of tears and frustration. Writing content for your website is single handedly the thing that turns up the heat on procrastination. But guess what (and I can't believe I am saying this)? A.I. can be your very best friend in this situation! That's right folks. ChatGPT is a great way to kickstart your thinker, bolster your brain cells, supercharge your stories. If you want some help figuring this out, just reply back—I can help you.
